"I haved worked with leather for around 40 years, going back to the late 70's and through to the mid 80's, I was the Head Designer at Tatra Leather Goods in Wainuiomata, Wellington, designing the Buxton line of leather goods, amongst others. I also spent most of those 40 years handcarving handbags, wallets, phone book covers, keycases, rocking chairs ... the list is endless and many orders were shipped internationally. The standard of repairs/restoration achieved by Leatherwise absolutely blows me away and without hesitation I would recommend them to anyone. Pure class."

"My husband and I purchased a large leather wingback chair and footstool at a second-hand store for the sheer comfort of the chair, in spite of the leather being in very poor condition at places as well as being a brightish tan/orange colour which did not match our decor.
"Andre was recommended to us as a leather expert. To be frank, I could not see how it would be possible to get rid of the dark stained cracks on the head rest and arms where the leather was busy decaying as a result of neglect, but Andre did it. And he did more: He got rid of the solid tan colour by giving the leather an antique finish, using the original colour as the underlying base colour. Andre is an artist. Antiquing a chair isn't a matter of spray painting a chair here and there: there is so much more to it!
