One of the most common requests we hear from customers is what to do when you get ink on your leather? Our advice is ACT IMMEDIATELY to remove it using an ink remover specially formulated for the leather industry. (If you haven't got one as part of your leather care kit, buy one today.) If the ink stain happened at dinner time on Friday, for example, you won't want to wait until Monday morning to do something about it. The fresher the stain, the more chance you have of removing it. DO NOT use household remedies such as nail polish remover or other solvents, which will damage the leather finish and create an even bigger problem!
The photos below show a successful ink stain removal from a brand new Ekornes Stressless leather recliner which was accidentally damaged in store by a customer. Because the shop staff acted promptly and called us soon after it happened, the stain was able to be removed relatively easily.
